Happy New Year!!
As 2006 comes to a close, we just wanted to take a moment to wish everyone the best in the upcoming year. We would like to take a moment and fill everyone in on the happenings of the past year in the Braithwaite home.
Our newest addition, William Reed, joined our family on May 16th of this year. He was 8 lbs. 14 oz. And 20 ½ inches at birth and continues to grow. He loves to sit up like a big boy and play with his toys. He loves to read books and will explore anything with his mouth. He sprouted his first tooth a day shy of four months, has grown four more since then with one more on the way. Needless to say, he has a very powerful bite! While, he hasn’t learned to crawl, he would prefer to just get up and walk if he could hold himself up. He also loves watching sports with Dad and has even braved the cold and crowd for a football game and a couple basketball games (BYU of course!) We are continually amazed by his curiosity and desire to learn and do more. He has been a radiant light in our lives and continues to remind us of the graciousness of our Heavenly Father.
Jennifer has had a very eventful year. After four fickle years and several major changes, she finally graduated (eight months pregnant) from Utah Valley State with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. A few weeks later, she gave birth to William. She was sad to have to leave working in the accounting lab helping other students, but after a few weeks of recovery, she continued her work at Whitewater part-time doing miscellaneous office and accounting work.
Phillip has been very busy with school at Utah Valley State. He is pursuing a degree in business while still taking classes required for dental school. We will begin the application process this summer by taking the DAT and exploring our options for schools. Phil will graduate in December 2007 and plans to begin the adventures of dental school during the summer of 2008. Aside from school, Phil continues his loves for sports, cheering on the Cougars, Lakers, and Dodgers. He has taken a couple of “Men Only” trips with his family, including four-wheeling in Southern Utah and a trip to the Las Vegas Bowl.
We are so grateful for the friendship and support we have received throughout the year and look forward to another year full of family, friends and fun.
